The
Los Angeles Clippers have received a major boost as centre
Ivica Zubac is now edging closer to playing again.
The side has suffered a major blow as their point guard Russell
Westbrook suffered a broken hand in the recent match against the Washington
Wizards.
However, the Clippers have now received a major boost as Zubac
is now in line to play the side’s next match and has travelled with the team
for the match against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
He has been out of action for a while because of a fitness concern as well.
Zubac was recently quoted in a report where he stated that
he is excited to be on the court again and that he is on the bus to play
for the team.
“I hope I can play,” Zubac said. “I didn’t come all this way
not to play. But I guess it’s up to the medical staff, but I hope I can play.”
The Clippers are going through an impressive campaign as
they are placed on the fourth position in the Western Conference with 38 wins
and just 20 defeats. However, their recent form must be a concern for the
management as the Clippers have just won two out of the last five matches and
suffered three defeats in between.
