Fans reacted on social media after news broke of
New York Knicks forward
OG Anunoby's injury reaction and his laments about not wanting to play through pain, something sure to displease his hard-nosed coach
Tom Thibodeau.
The 26-year-old, who joined the franchise from the Toronto
Raptors in the mid-season transfer window, did not take part in the match
against the Golden State Warriors on Monday after reports of an injury to his surgically
repaired elbow.
However, recent tests suggest that the development was not as serious as it was first expected and that it was not really an injury
but only an inflammation in his elbow.
The news brought some interesting reactions from the fans on social media where one even went on to write: "Thibs is about to
trade him."
The London-born is having a decent season for the Knicks
where he is contributing 14.9 points per game to go with 4.3 rebounds and 2.3
assists.
In his most recent outing against the Sacramento Kings, Anunoby
played 33 minutes but ended up registering just two points to go with two assists
and three blocks.
His most impressive outing this season came in the match
against the Knicks while playing for the Raptors back in December where he
ended up registering 29 points to go with five rebounds and two assists.
