With the
trade deadline almost here, the rumors surrounding the
Dejounte Murray-Los Angeles Lakers drama are at their peak. Here in basketballuptodate we've published about
LeBron James petitions for the landing of the
Atlanta Hawks star. However, the negotiations seem to be at their lowest point, almost looking impossible to complete.
So, according to expert analyst Chris Haynes, Atlanta Hawks is in no hurry to sell Murray and is not going to do it at any price and would demand 2 rounds to get him out now.
In fact, they think that if they wait for the summer market they might even get higher value in return. "They're in no rush to move him this week," Haynes commented on The Stein Line podcast.
So, with Zach LaVine ruled out for the season due to injury and with the Hawks driving Murray's price sky high, it doesn't look like the Lakers will be able to make any big moves this offseason, especially after the road wins over the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics in recent days and the strong performance of D'Angelo Russell.
The last thing LeBron James has said is that he's happy with his teammates, though it's true days ago he's done his classic pre-deadline antics by draping the Knicks towel over his shoulders, posting some mysterious tweet, or making faces on the bench. It's his game to pressure Rob Pelinka to make the team better.
We assume that someone will come along to fill the gap left by Jarred Vanderbilt. We'll let you know.
