Alex Caruso has spent the last few seasons playing for the
Chicago Bulls but a new rumor says the former Los Angeles Lakers champion could be moving back to the West Coast before the upcoming NBA
trade deadline.
KC Johnson of NBC Sports says that the
Golden State Warriors are among the several teams that have inquired about signing Caruso. At the time, the Bulls shot the Warriors down because they were hoping and planning to make the playoffs with their current roster.
But a lot can change in a few days and the weekend was brutal for the Bulls, as they learned that Zach LaVine will be out for the rest of the season because of a surgery and required surgery. They remain the ninth team in the East with a 23-27 record.
Perhaps the Bulls will reconsider the Warriors' interest in Caruso now that their playoff chances might have just slipped away with LaVine's absence.
Caruso has gotten better since coming to the Bulls and is currently averaging 10 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game this season. He is not only known for some impressive shooting but also for his strong defensive skills.
The Warriors won't be the only team vying for Caruso if he does become a trade possibility. Other teams will also leap at the chance of getting Caruso, as long as it doesn't cost them too much. In fact, the Lakers could try to get Caruso again.
The Warriors will need to do something big to get their season on track so even if they get Caruso, they'd probably have to make other changes too.
