Atlanta Hawks star shooting guard
Dejounte Murray's move to the
Los Angeles Lakers in the ongoing transfer window is ‘unrealistic’, according to
an NBA transfer insider.
The ongoing transfer window in the competition is set to conclude
on February 08 as teams are now pushing to sign more players to strengthen
their squads for the rest of the campaign.
There have been reports of Lakers' interest in Murray to strengthen
their defensive unit but as per transfer insider Marc Stein, the move seems unlikely
as of now at least.
“Trade talks tend to be fluid this time of year and can be
easily sparked up again, but one source briefed on the talks termed the idea of
Murray landing with the Lakers before the deadline, as of this Sunday, as ‘unrealistic’,”
he said.
Murray is one of the star performers for the Hawks this
season as he is averaging 21.4 points per game to go with five rebounds and 5.1
assists.
In the team’s previous outing against the Dallas Mavericks,
he ended up registering 22 points to go with five rebounds and seven assists.
His best outing this season came in the match against the Minnesota
Timberwolves where he registered 41 points with the help of seven rebounds and five
assists.
