Chicago Bulls head coach John Donovan believes that his team
is ‘very competitive’ when they play at their potential.
The Bulls are having a rather disappointing season where they
are placed in the fourth position in the Central Standings with 21 wins and 24
defeats.
Donovan was recently quoted in a report where he stated that
while there is always room to bring in more players ahead of the end of the mid-season
transfer window, his current lot is ‘very competitive’ when they play to their
potential.
“When we play to the level and standard and identity that we
can play to, we’ve been a very competitive team,” he said. “I think the thing
that’s hard that I’m not always privy to in the front office is to have a deal,
it takes two.
“So you can sit there and want to do a lot of different
things, but maybe the asking price is too much for it. Or there’s just nothing
there. Someone may not be interested. I think Artūras and Marc are always
looking for ways to get better. But you have to have a willing partner. I trust
that they’ll come to me when they need to talk to me about this stuff.”
Bulls, who lost their last match against the Phoenix Suns
with a score of 115-113 will play their next match against the Los Angeles
Lakers on Thursday.
