Young French basketball star
Victor Wembanyama is reportedly
planning to participate in the Skills Challenge at NBA
All-Star Weekend in
Indianapolis.
The 20-year-old is often regarded as one of the most
highly-rated players currently playing in the NBA.
As per the Athletic reporter Shams Charania, Wembanyama is planning
to participate in the event set to take plan in Indianapolis.
Wembanyama is currently playing for the
San Antonio Spurs. He is
regarded as amongst the best prospects in basketball. The Le Chesnay-born is having
more than an impressive time this season on the court where he is averaging 19.4
points per game.
He is leading the charts in the NBA this season when it comes to
blocking where he is averaging 3.1 blocks per game. He is the only player in
the competition who is averaging more than three blocks a game.
Wembanyama is also amongst 14 players in the competition
this season who are averaging more than 10 rebounds a game.
In the recent match against Atlanta Hawks where Spurs ended
on the losing side with a score of 109-99, Wembanyama ended up registering most
points (26) by a player from the losing side.
It was the fifth occasion in the last six games where Wembanyama
ended up registering more than 20 points for the Spurs.
