Golden State Warriors star
Stephen Curry ripped his shirt in
frustration after the match against the
Los Angeles Lakers.
The Warriors suffered a heart-breaking defeat after overtime
in the match against the Lakers with a score of 145-144 on Saturday. The first
four quarters ended with both teams scoring 118 points each. However, in the
overtime, it was the Lakers who secured a hard-fought win as they scored 27
compared to Warriors 26 points.
In a video that appeared on the social media platform X — previously
known as Twitter — Curry can be seen ripping his shirt in anger.
It was the Warriors’ fourth defeat in the last five encounters
and therefore, they are now placed in the fifth position in the Pacific
Standings with just 19 wins and 24 defeats.
Curry, on a personal level, had a fabulous game as he
ended up registering 46 points, the most by any player on the court. He also
managed to register three rebounds and seven assists. This is the first time
this season that Curry managed to score more than 40 points for the Warriors.
With that performance, the 35-year-old, who is a four-time
NBA champion and two-time NBA Finals MVP, is now averaging 26.8 points, 4.2
rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.
