The premier showdown for this NBA Thursday was set between the up and coming
Houston Rockets against the experienced
Golden State Warriors. The Splash Brothers reappeared at the Toyota Center and had a night that reminded the young days of the Warriors dynasty. The talented Rockets didn't had any answers against
Stephen Curry and
Klay Thompson.
Although the Rockets still have a chance to get into the play-in, Golden State has now a 42-34 record and Houston falls to 38-38. With only six games left Houston would have to be nearly perfect, the Warriors are virtually out of reach.
Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson looked highly motivated for tonight's game, as if they wanted to remind the emerging Rockets who are they and what they do. In this video we can appreciate the amount of shots that the historic backourt knocked down. Off the dribble, coming off a screen, attacking the basket, going for some mid-range shots as well. Houston's defense looked way too vulnerable. Both legendary shooters kept Houston guessing the whole time.
Klay finished with 73% from the field, Steph with 64%. They brought back some tough memories to the Rockets fans.
