Fans on social media lambasted the performance of the
Golden State Warriors against the
San Antonio Spurs.
Steve Kerr’s men were beaten by the bottom-of-the-table side
in their recent match with a score of 126-113 at the Chase Center in San
Francisco on Saturday.
The result did not go down well with the fans of
the Warriors who were unhappy and expressed their frustration on the
social media platform X—previously known as Twitter.
One fan was extremely critical of the team’s performance as the
Warriors failed to beat the Spurs side who were not placed on the bottom of the
table but they were also without their best player Victor Wembanyama.
"WARRIORS CANT EVEN BEAT THE 13 WIN SPURS WITHOUT
WEMBY. THE SEASON IS OVER BRUH,” one fan wrote.
After that result, which was the Warriors' third defeat in
the last four matches, the side stayed in the 10th position in the
Western Conference with 33 wins and 30 defeats.
On the night, the star performer for the winning team was
the young star forward Keldon Johnson who ended up registering 22 points to go
with 11 rebounds and one assist.
For the losing team, veteran Klay Thompson was the stand-out
performer as he ended up registering 27 points to go with two rebounds and one
assist.
