The
Denver Nuggets have reportedly skipped their trip to the
White House in order to prepare for the remaining matches.
The defending champions were due to visit the iconic building
on March 18 but as per the latest report, the management has decided to skip
the trip as they have to face
Minnesota Timberwolves on March 19.
The report further stated that the trip was originally
scheduled for January 19 but the plan was changed as it conflicted with the schedule
of President Joe Biden.
The Nuggets are one of the favourites to lift the title this
time around as well. They are currently placed in the third position in the
Western Conference with 44 wins and 20 defeats.
In their last game, the side managed to absolutely
thrash the Utah Jazz with a score of 142-121 at the Ball Arena in Denver on
Saturday.
On the night, the
star of the show for the winning team was point guard Jamal Murray who ended up
registering 37 points to go with three rebounds and seven assists. It was his
best outing in any game this season.
In addition, Nikola Jokic supported him well with 26 points, six rebounds and eight assists.
