Golden State Warriors are facing some competition from the Indiana
Pacers for the signing of
Toronto Raptors star
Pascal Siakam.
The 29-year-old is one of the most in-formed players this season
where he is averaging 22.2 points per game. There have been reports of interest
from the Warriors in signing Siakam.
However, as per the Athletic reporter Shams Charania, they
are now facing some competition from the Pacers who are also keen on signing
the player who has played more than 500 games for the Raptors.
"The Raptors and Pacers are actively engaged in trade
talks centred around two-time All-Star forward Pascal Siakam that would send
him to Indiana for a package that includes Bruce Brown Jr., other salaries and
three first-round draft picks, league sources tell The Athletic," he wrote.
"The Kings had been among other suitors for Siakam, but
decided to pull out of conversations in recent weeks, league sources say.
Siakam is also known to be against the potential prospect of re-signing in
Sacramento, making a Kings deal even more problematic. The Warriors and
Mavericks have expressed exploratory interest in Siakam as well, according to
league sources."
This season, Siakam’s best performance came in the game
against the Cleveland Cavaliers where he ended up registering 36 points
including five rebounds.
