The
Golden State Warriors star forward
Stephen Curry has
heaped praise on Iowa Hawkeyes guard
Caitlin Clark for her shooting ability.
The 22-year-old is being tipped for greatness in the WNBA as
she recently became the highest-scoring college basketball player ever, not only
in the women’s category but also in the men’s category as well.
Many Pundits believe that Clark is on her way to greatness
just like Curry, largely because of her ability to score three-pointers at will,
something which has been the speciality of the Warriors star for a number of
seasons.
The 35-year-old was recently quoted in a report where he not
only heaped praise on the youngster but admitted that there is similarity between
his play and how Clark plays as well.
“I’ve been watching from afar and understanding just how
much of a power she is out there on the court,” he said. “The cool part is the
way that she plays, and her range, and the level of difficulty on her shots is
obviously a very close comparison to the way that I play.”
Curry further went on to state that while Clark’s shooting can
be classified as exceptional already but her other play is also admirable.
"I think it almost robs her of like the rest of her
game,” said Curry. “Because she’s such a good flood [general], she has her
overall floor game. She’s racking up close to triple-doubles every night. Her
shooting ability is her super power but the rest of her game is as polished as
that, so this is must-see TV.”
