For months now, NBA fans have heard that
Zach LaVine's time with the
Chicago Bulls could be coming to an end. Ever since inside reporting said the Bulls were ready to move on from LaVine, analysts and writers and fans have been openly wondering where he would head. So far, no clear indication has been given by the Bulls.
But as the NBA trade deadline quickly approaches, chances are growing that LaVine will soon pack his back and leave Chicago.
It remains to be seen where LaVine will go. The Los Angeles Lakers were frontrunners to land LaVine but most recent reports have said that the Lakers have moved away from that idea, afraid of his hefty price tag as well as the negative impact he might have on the team's defensive power. The Lakers, however, seem to still be interested in acquiring Alex Caruos or DeMar DeRozan of the Bulls for a smaller price point.
There are a number of teams that would love the help that LaVine could bring. This season, the two-time All-Star has averaged 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists. But he has also faced another set of injuries and his salary is quite high and those are two elements that could derail any potential trades.
Another big question is just how many changes the Bulls want to commit to. Do they only want to trade LaVine or will they make more alterations after that too? How different will this team look after the All-Star break? And will they be able to fight their way into the playoffs?
