Anthony Edwards added another monster performance which included a ridiculous poster dunk on John Collins. His miraculous play led the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 114-104 victory over the Utah Jazz at Delta Center.

With 5:30 remaining in the 3rd quarter, Anthony Edwards pushed the ball up the court. He passed it to teammate Nickeil Alexander-Walker who then gave it back to Ant-Man. The 2-time All-Star then rose up and came flying at John Collins.

The former first overall pick dunked the ball with power and made it look effortless. He stuck the landing while putting Collins on the ground. Everyone in the arena started gasped and got hyped up because they were in awe of what just happened. The announcers went crazy and the fans (who were rooting for the Jazz) got off their seats and were amazed.

The unfortunate thing about this play is that both players got injured. Edwards hurt his finger on the dunk while “John the Baptist” suffered a head injury. The Timberwolves star added another jaw-dropping posterizing dunk to his already lengthy career highlight reel.

However, the 22-year-old was more stoked about getting a win, and he was a big reason as he scored a game-high 32 points with 7 boards and 8 assists. Naz Reid started with Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert both out, and he had 17 points in 17 minutes before suffering an injury himself. Kyle Anderson recorded 10 points while NAW provided 13 points off the bench.

Collin Sexton led his team with 24 points and 5 triples off the bench. Lauri Markkanen returned from a 6-game absence and finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Keyontae George had 15 points and 8 assists while John Collins recorded 11 points and 6 boards before leaving the game due to his head injury.

Minnesota improves to 47-21 with this win and jump up to the 2nd seed in the West. They are tied with the Nuggets but they hold the tiebreaker and now sit just 0.5 games behind OKC for the top seed. This was a huge victory for the Timberwolves as they were short handed but were able to get the job done. They have now won 3 games in a row and will look to add to that tomorrow when they face the Denver Nuggets.

Utah drops to 29-39 with this loss and have now lost 2 games in a row. They have gone 2-8 in their last 10 contests but on the bright side, Lauri Markkanen returned. The Jazz will look to bounce back on Wednesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
