Two-time NBA
champion
Bill Walton believes that
Denver Nuggets center
Nikola Jokic is the ‘best
player in the world’.
The 29-year-old
is often regarded as one of the best players in the competition alongside the
Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry and Dallas Mavericks Luka Doncic.
Walton was
recently quoted in a report where he stated that in his opinion, Jokic is the
best player in the world.
“His
celebration of life through basketball, his focus on the team … he’s better
than perfect. He’s Nikola Jokic,” he said “He’s the best player in the world. I
watch a lot of Denver Nuggets basketball, and every time I watch, I just get a
smile on my face. It’s fantastic.”
Jokic has been
one of the star performers for the Nuggets this season where he is contributing
26 points per game which is the 13th best in the competition. That’s
not it as he is also contributing 12.2 rebounds and 9.1 assists per game — fourth-best
this season.
In his most
recent outing for the Nuggets, Jokic had a fabulous time against the Portland
Trail Blazers where he ended up registering 29 points to go with 15 rebounds
and 14 assists.
His best outing
this season came in the match against the San Antonio Spurs where he registered
39 points to go with 11 rebounds and nine assists.
