San Antonio Spurs' young centre
Victor Wembanyama has
produced yet another incredible achievement.
The 20-year-old has been regarded as one of the most highly-rated
young players currently playing in the competition.
He once again lived up to the hype by starring for the time,
this time in a losing cause against the
Los Angeles Lakers who came out on top
with a score of 123-118 at the crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Friday.
During the match, Wembanyama ended up registering a rare ‘5x5’
game where he produced at least five blocks, five steals, five assists, five
points and five rebounds.
His eventual numbers were far more impressive as he contributed
27 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, five blocks and five steals for the
losing side.
For the winning team, the star of the show was their legendary
forward LeBron James who ended up registering as many as 30 points to go with
seven rebounds and nine assists.
The result made things even further hard for Spurs who are
still placed on the fifth position in the Southwest Division with just 11 wins
and 46 defeats.
Wembanyama, this season, has been fabulous for Spurs where
he is averaging 20.5 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
