Point guard D'Angelo Russell has registered a milestone in
the Los Angeles Lakers' recent win against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The 28-year-old became the Lakers player with the most three-pointers
in a single season. He has 185 three-points this season and has overtaken Nick
van Exel who had 183 three-pointers in the 1994-95 season.
Russell had a good outing for the Lakers on the night as they
defeated the Sixers with a score of 101-94 at the crypto.com Arena in Los
Angeles on Friday.
He registered 14 points to go with five rebound and three assists.
He registered four three-pointers in the process.
Despite that win, the Lakers remain in the ninth position in
the Western Conference with 38 wins and 32 defeats. On the other hand, the
Sixers remain in the eighth position in the Eastern Conference with 38 wins and
32 defeats.
The star of the show for the winning team on the night was
Anthony Davis who registered 23 points to go with 19 rebounds and four assists.
Russell is having an impressive campaign where he has contributed
18.1 points, three rebounds and 6.4 assists per game. His most impressive
outing this season came in the match against the Milwaukee Bucks where he
registered 44 points to go with six rebounds and nine assists.
