The
Los Angeles Lakers legendary forward
LeBron James has
stated that his team is focused on winning as many games as possible and are
not worried about the seeding.
The Lakers registered an important win against the Philadelphia
76ers with a score of 101-94 at the crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Friday.
Despite that win, the Lakers remain in the ninth position in
the Western Conference with 38 wins and 32 defeats. On the other hand, the
Sixers remain in the eighth position in the Eastern Conference with 38 wins and
32 defeats.
Four teams that finish outside the top-six will take part in
the NBA Play-in tournament before the start of the playoffs.
James was quoted after the match where he stated that the team’s
focus is not seeding but instead, the players are eager to ensure as many wins
as possible.
“At the end of the day, we're not really focused on
seeding,” said James. “We're just focused on what we can control. We can't
control the seedings if other teams are playing too well still. What you can
control is go out and play and try to win as many games as you can and see
where you land.”
James himself had a pretty good game where he ended up registering
20 points to go with eight rebounds and six assists. The star of the show for
the winning team on the night was Anthony Davis who registered 23 points to go
with 19 rebounds and four assists.
