Current
Milwaukee Bucks head coach
Doc Rivers interestingly
picked legendary
Michael Jordan over one of his former players in a virtual
head-to-head bracket which featured random NBA players.
The 62-year-old coached the
Boston Celtics for nine seasons
where he worked with one of the franchise legends
Paul Pierce. Later, Rivers
went on to work for another two seasons with the 2008 NBA champion at the Los
Angeles Clippers as well.
However, in a virtual head-to-head, Rivers decided to pick
Jordan over Pierce. Interestingly, he earlier picked Chris Paul over his current
player Damian Lillard but later picked Pierce over the current Golden State
Warriors player.
Jordan remains one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA. He ended his career after playing 1,072 games where he averaged 30.1 points
per game, an incredible feat to say the least.
Jordan finished his career after winning six NBA titles (1991,
1992, 1993, 1996, 1997 and 1998) and all of them came while playing for the Chicago
Bulls. In all of those title-winning campaigns, he was awarded the NBA Finals
Most Valuable Player.
On the other hand, Pierce won a solitary NBA championship
and that was with the Boston Celtics. In that title-winning campaign, he was named
the NBA Finals MVP as well.
