New York Knicks shooting guard
Josh Hart hilariously made teammate
Isaiah Hartenstein talk about his ethnicity.
In a video that was released on the social media platform X —
previously known as Twitter — the two Knicks players were involved in some very
interesting conversation.
"Explain your blackness," Hart said. "You
know it's like, lightskin? I'm brightskin,” was the response of Hartenstein.
"I'm above lightskin, my dad is black... when they found out I'm black,
the handshake changes. The whole vibe changes."
As far as appearance is concerned, Hartenstein looks like a white
person. However, his father, who used to play basketball in Germany, was half-black
which made this conversation all the more relevant.
Both players have been heavily involved for the Knicks in
the ongoing season where they are placed in the third position in the Eastern Conference
with 44 wins and 28 defeats.
Hart has represented the Knicks in 71 games this season
where he has been contributing 8.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per
game. His best outing in the ongoing campaign came in the match against the
Dallas Mavericks where he registered 23 points to go with 10 rebounds and 12
assists.
On the other hand, Hartenstein played 66 times for the Knicks
this season where he contributed 7.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per
game. His best outing for the side came in the match against the Denver Nuggets
where he registered 20 points to go with eight rebounds and three assists.
