Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard
James Harden has stated
that he is not concerned about the nomination for the NBA
All-Star event.
The 34-year-old, despite having a fabulous season last year,
was not nominated for the NBA All-Star teams but it seems that this year, it
might be a bit different for him.
When asked about it from the media, Harden stated that he is
not concerned about it and that he has bigger goals to achieve this season.
“If it happens, it happens,” he said. “If don’t, then it
doesn’t change or affect me. Last year I was leading the league in assists. So
I don’t know one time a person leading the league in assists was not an
All-Star, especially one like me. But it is what is. Like I’ve seen worse and
I’m here and focused on a bigger goal…”
In the recent fixture against the Washington Wizards where
the Clippers came out on top with a score of 125-109 at the Capital One Arena
on Wednesday, Harden had a good outing where he registered 25 points with the
help of nine rebounds and five assists.
This season, Harden
is having a more than decent time on the court for the Clippers where he is
averaging 17.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 8.6 assists per game.
