NBA broadcaster
Stephen A. Smith has lambasted the Golden
State Warriors for their performance in the match against the Boston Celtics.
The Warriors had a horrible night in the match against the
Celtics as they were thrashed with a score of 140-88 at the TD Garden in
Boston.
During the match, the Celtics started strongly and took a lead
of 44 points in the first two quarters, something that did not go down well
with Smith who lambasted the Warriors' overall performance and called it a ‘butt
whopping’.
"This is an epic butt whooping,” he said. “This is so
bad Kendrick Perkins needs to take off that suit. This is so bad that Bob
Myers, who gonna be calling the Warriors game this Wednesday... shouldn't even
go back.
"The
Golden State Warriors were nearly down by 50 at
halftime... None of us saw this coming. We want to apologize to the American
people."
The result left the Warriors in the ninth position in the Western
Conference with 32 wins and 28 defeats. On the night, the star performer for
the winning team was the shooting guard Jaylen Brown who registered 29 points
to go with three rebounds and three assists.
