The former coach of the
Golden State Warriors Mark Jackson
does not rate
Stephen Curry as one of the top-five point guards in the history
of the NBA.
The 36-year-old is often regarded as one of the greatest
players to have played basketball in the current generation alongside the likes
of LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
However, Jackson, who coached the Warriors for three
seasons, was recently quoted in a report where he named his top five point
guards of all time and Curry did not feature in that list.
The list featured the likes of
Magic Johnson, Isiah Thomas, John
Stockton, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash and
Chris Paul.
Curry is having yet another fabulous season for the Warriors
despite the side’s struggle throughout the campaign. He is currently averaging
27 points per game which is by far the best by any Warriors player this season.
In his most recent outing against the New York Knicks, he
ended up registering 27 points to go with five rebounds and five assists.
His most impressive performance this season came in the
match against the Atalanta Hawks back in February where he ended up registering
60 points to go with six rebounds and four assists.
