The
Dallas Mavericks star
Luka Doncic had a rather disappointing
outing but even then his side secured another important win, this time against
the bottom-of-the-table side
San Antonio Spurs. The game ended with the score of 113-107 at the Frost Bank
Center in San Antonio on Tuesday.
Doncic, who remains arguably one of the most in-form players
in the competition, had a rather slow outing as he ended up registering just 18
points despite playing 40 minutes to go with 10 rebounds and 16 assists.
It was the first time since February 19 that Doncic finished with less than 20 points. He was very disappointing off-the-field as he with 06-27 whereas
from the beyond the arc, he ended the night with just four turnovers.
To his and the Mavericks good luck, it was the point guard Kyrie
Irving’s night for the winning team as he ended up contributing 28 points to go
with seven rebounds and three assists.
For the losing team, point guard Tre Jones was the standout
performer as he ended up registering 22 points to go with three rebounds and
nine assists.
It was the Mavericks’ sixth win in the last seven matches and
it keeps their hopes alive of finishing in the top six. As things stand, they
are placed in the seventh position in the Western Conference with 40 wins and
29 defeats.
