All-Star starters voting is coming to a close which is
giving a more clear sense of who will start in which spot in the all-important
encounter.
The annual event is set to take place on Sunday, November 18.
It will be the 73rd edition of the competition and this year it will
be organised at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
As per
ESPN, nearly four million votes have been cast to
select the starting XI for the game and the final results will be announced on January
25.
Los Angeles Lakers star
LeBron James is leading the West
Frontcourt with 3,938,571 votes. He is followed by Nikola Jokic of the Denver
Nuggets with 3,498,250 votes.
Dallas Mavericks’ star Luka Dončić is leading the charts in
the West Backcourt with 3,205,375 votes. Second on the list is Golden State
Warriors star Stephen Curry with 2,616,154 votes.
In the East Frontcourt,
Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee
Bucks is leading the charts with 4,309,630 votes. He is the only player on the
list to have received more than four million votes. He is followed by Joel
Embiid of Philadelphia 76ers who has received 3,721,002.
In the East
Backcourt, Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers is first on the list as he
has received 2,718,973 votes. Second in the list is Trae Young of Atlanta Hawks
who has received 1,815,898 votes.
