Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Brown has criticised the
decision of not including De’Aaron Fox and
Domantas Sabonis in the list of NBA
All-Stars.
Point guard Fox and power forward Sabonis are having impressive seasons for the franchise where they are amongst the top performers
in their respective positions.
Kings coach Brown was clearly unhappy with the decision of
not including his two star players who are having the best season of their
respective careers.
“It’s clear to anyone who watches the NBA and Kings
basketball that De’Aaron and Domantas should have been selected for this year’s
All-Star game,” said Brown.
“They are playing at an unbelievably elite level, Domantas
establishing historic numbers with his double-doubles and De’Aaron setting a
new career mark for 3-point field goals. Every year, there are deserving
players left off the team but, to me, this is truly a glaring wrongdoing.”
Fox is averaging 27.2 points per game which is the ninth-best
in the competition. To go with that, he is also averaging 4.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists
per game.
On the other hand, Sabonis is averaging 13 rebounds per game
which is the best by any player in the league. That’s not it as he is also
averaging 19.9 points and eight assists per game which is the seventh-best in the
competition.
