Fans reacted after the comment from the
Los Angeles Lakers
star
LeBron James following his team’s defeat against the
Golden State Warriors.
The Lakers suffered a defeat against the Warriors with a score
of 128-121 at the crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday. It was their second
consecutive defeat which pushed them to the 10th spot in the Western
Conference with 36 wins and 32 defeats.
James was the standout performer for the losing side as he
ended up registering 40 points go with eight rebounds and nine assists.
After the match, James rued the referees' decision to overturn
his three-pointed late in the fourth quarter when the Lakers were just four
points behind and stated that the incident took the momentum away from the home side.
"Oh yeah, it was good momentum, obviously," he said.
"I've never seen that be called before like that in that particular time.
That was kind of weird, but it took some momentum away from us."
Those comments did not go down well with the fans on the social
media platform X — previously known as Twitter. One of them accused the
legendary forward of lying by writing: “He be enabling his dumbass stanbase
lmao I know he watched league pass.”
