New York Knicks head coach
Tom Thibodeau has revealed
that power forward
Julius Randle is ‘doing well’ in his rehab.
The 29-year-old suffered a dislocated shoulder injury on
January 28 and since then has not taken part in any basketball activities. It
was initially reported that the player might be out of action for up to two to
three weeks.
Thibodeau was recently quoted in a report where he provided a positive update about Randle’s fitness but refrained from giving a particular
timeline for his possible return to the court.
“He’s doing well overall. He hasn’t been cleared to practice
yet. He’s meeting all the markers. He’s moving around pretty good,” said Thibodeau
“Just take it day by day, keep doing everything that they’re asking you do.
He’s working out twice a day, so he’s doing well overall.”
Randle has been the star performer for the Knicks this
season where he is averaging 24 points per game which is the 19th
best in the competition. That’s not it as he is also contributing 9.2 rebounds
and five assists per game.
His most impressive outing this season came in the match
against the Milwaukee Bucks where he ended up registering as many as 41 points
to go with six rebounds and five assists.
