Three
Golden State Warriors stars recalled how young Brandin
Podziemski impressed them in the pre-season contest.
The 20-year-old is often regarded as one of the most highly-rated
players currently playing in the competition. Despite being so young, he has
already played 47 matches as a guard for the franchise.
The Athletic reporter Anthony Slater shared an interesting
incident where he stated how the likes of
Stephen Curry,
Chris Paul and Moses
Moody were left impressed with the performance of Podziemski in the pre-season
contest.
“We were at UCLA, right?” Paul asked Moody. “When BP beat us
in ones. ‘Yes’, Moody responded, grinning at the memory. The rookie was giving
it to two of the greatest to ever do it at the point guard position and
alerting anyone within earshot of the damage.
“He did the Tiger [Woods] fist-pump,” Paul said, shaking his
head.“‘Let’s f—g go!'” Curry remembers him taunting. “That was hilarious.”
Podziemski is having a more than decent time for the Warriors
in his first season where he is averaging 9.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.9
assists per game.
The best outing for the Wisconsin-born this season came in
the match against the Los Angeles Clippers where he ended up registering 25
points to go with seven rebounds and eight assists.
