Milwaukee Bucks veteran point guard
Damian Lillard revealed
that his return to the Moda Center is emotional as he just ‘loved
the organisation’.
The 33-year-old ended up joining the Bucks after spending 11
seasons with the Trail Blazers this season. Before returning to face his former
side, Lillard revealed his admiration and stated that he loved everything
associated with the franchise.
"I loved the organization,” he said. “I loved everybody
I went to work with every day. And I think what made it the hardest is it
wasn't a wasn't a broken relationship. So coming back, being able to be here,
I'm in a great situation.
"The reason it all came about in the first place was
for a chance to win it all. We couldn't be at that place at the same time. So I
come back with love, and I'm excited to be back in the Moda Center."
During his time with the Trail Blazers, Lillard ended up registering
more than 19,000 points, an incredible feat to say the least. In the 2018-19
season, he ended up registering 2,067 points which was the most he did in a
single season for his former franchise.
This year, Lillard is having an impressive time on the court
for the Bucks where he is averaging 25.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists
per game.
