Patrick Beverley was overcome with emotion after a hard-fought victory against his old squad.
Milwaukee Bucks point guard Patrick Beverley has criticised the mindset of his former team Philadelphia 76ers.
The 29-year-old has recently moved from the Sixers to the Bucks in the mid-season transfer window. He was quoted in a report where he took a dig at his former team and accused them of playing for numbers instead of playing for wins.
"In Milwaukee everybody wants to win,” he said. “It's not about stats. Its not about numbers. Its not about who gets the ball. Everybody wants to win."
The comments will definitely not go down well with someone like Joel Embiid who has been a star performer for the Sixers during the time Beverley stayed with the franchise.
On the other hand, the comments will be music to ears for someone like Giannis Antetokounmpo who has been in great form for the Bucks this season.
Bucks are having an impressive season this year where they are placed on the second spot in the Central Division with 35 wins and just 21 defeats. On the other hand, the Sixers are placed on the third position in the Atlantic Division with 32 wins and 22 defeats.
Beverley is having a rather below-par season where he is averaging 6.1 points, three rebounds and three assists per game.
