The
Golden State Warriors veteran power forward Draymond
Green believes that the
Boston Celtics must win the title this season as this
is their best opportunity.
The Celtics are one of the most in-form teams in the competition
and in their recent outing, they thrashed the Warriors with a lead of 52
points. The final score of 140-88.
That result left them at the top of the table in the Eastern
Conference with 48 wins and many see them now as a real title contender.
Green was recently quoted in a report where he stated that the
Celtics must use their golden opportunity to win the title this year as their
players are in-form and they won’t be able to keep the current contingent
together for long because of a salary cap issue.
"It is 100% a title-or-bust year for the Celtics,"
he said. "You don't get to continue to be in a position that the Celtics
are in and get the opportunity after opportunity. You gotta strike while the
iron is hot."
Green himself is having a decent season for the Warriors
where he is averaging 9.1 points, seven rebounds and 5.8 assists per game. In
the game against the Celtics, the 34-year-old ended up registering six points to
go with four rebounds and two assists.
