The
Boston Celtics head coach
Joe Mazzulla has stated that
it has been an ‘honour’ to coach a player of the quality of
Jaylen Brown.
The 27-year-old has been a star performer for the Celtics in
the ongoing campaign and had another fabulous night in the Celtics' recent win
against the
Detroit Pistons where he registered 33 points to go with four
rebounds.
After the match, Mazzulla was full of praise for Brown and
stated that the shooting guard is not only performing himself but has also become
a reason for the improved performances of his teammates.
"I've just seen great stuff. I love just the way he's
carrying himself out there on the court," said Mazzulla. "He's
processing each and every possession on both ends of the floor. He's taking the
shots that he wants. He's making plays for himself, for his teammates. It's
been an honour to coach him. He's been playing just well-rounded basketball on
both ends, so it's been fun to watch.”
The Celtics went on to win the contest against the Pistons
with a score of 129-102 at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Friday. Brown
is having a fabulous season for the Celtics where he is contributing 23.4 points,
5.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.
