Kevin Durant, Phoenix Suns' forward, has been named NBA Player of the Week for the Western Conference regarding week 13 of this 2023-2024 season. The Eastern Conference accolade was for 76ers pivot, Joel Embiid.
Kevin Durant has averaged 31 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 rebounds in the three games the Phoenix Suns played (and won) this past week.
Joel Embiid, played in the 4 wins for the Philadelphia 76ers last week, averaging 37.8 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5 assists per contest.
The Suns' awakening in the West standings is due in large part to KD raising his level of play tremendously. He seems to be getting better with Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.
Embiid, the reigning MVP, continues to put up supernatural numbers this season and with him the Sixers are guaranteed a large number of regular season wins. The question now is to know if this will continue in the playoffs or will they crash again like the last few seasons.
