ESPN NBA reporter’s claim about the weight loss of the New
Orleans Pelicans young forward
Zion Williamson has caught the eye of the fans
on social media.
Brian Windhorst, who works for ESPN, in a recent post on the
social media platform X — previously known as Twitter — stated that the
23-year-old has lost about 25 pounds in the recent past.
“I’ve got people in New Orleans telling me that since
December, when the In-Season Tournament happened, Zion Williamson has lost
25 or more pounds and his performance has been excellent,” he wrote.
That post caught the attention of the fans who posted some
interesting remarks on X. One user even went on to write: “bro must have been
doing cardio in Texas.”
Williamson has been one of the star performers for the Pelicans
this season where he is contributing 22.6 points per game, the best out of all
the players from the franchise.
In his most recent outing against the Portland Trail
Blazers, Williamson ended up registering 26 points to go with 10 rebounds and
three assists.
His most impressive performance this season came in the
match against the Washington Wizards where he ended up contributing 36 points
to go with six rebounds and eight assists.
