NBA fans are always debating which players did the most for the league. Who changed the game the most? How influenced the most players? Who will go down in history as the most impactful star?
According to NBA legend Paul Pierce, Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors is more influential than LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant.
Pierce made the claim on a recent episode of "Undisputed."
Pierce said:
“[Stephen Curry’s] influence on the game has been greater than [LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant]… I watched the Celtics game last night… Their first 10 shots were three pointers.”
There is no doubt that Curry has changed the game in some massive ways. When he first entered the league, the three-point shot was really valued but it wasn't a priority for many players. Now, years later, stars all across the NBA have added the special shot to the tool bags.
Curry's shooting has led his team to four championships and has impacted a load up-and-coming stars. Today, the best teams have at least one or two sharpshooters who have perfected a shot from beyond the arc. That's partly due to Curry.
That being said, James, Jordan, and Bryant have all done so many great things during their careers so it's still debatable who is the most influential. In the grand scheme of things, all three will hold a very special place in NBA history.
