The
Golden State Warriors are reportedly open to the idea of
a trade for their young forward
Jonathan Kuminga.
The 21-year-old is often regarded as one of the most highly-rated
forwards currently playing in the league. It has been reported in the past that
Kuminga is unsettled at the franchise, largely because of how he has been used by
the manager Steve Kerr.
Therefore, as per the latest report, the Warriors are open to
the idea of letting Kuminga leave the franchise before the end of the ongoing
transfer window. Teams can strengthen their contingents before February 08 for
the rest of the season.
The report further stated that while the Warriors are
looking to offload the youngster, he will not be allowed to leave for cheap and
teams will have to come up with an offer which will ensure that the franchise
will be in a stronger position after letting go of one of their hottest prospects.
Kuminga is having a decent season for the Warriors where he
is averaging 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
His best outing in the competition came in the match against
the Sacramento Kings where he ended up registering 31 points to go with three
rebounds and three assists.
