Devin Booker once again showcased his talent for Phoenix
Suns in the match against the
Indiana Pacers.
The 27-year-old is often regarded as one of the most promising
talents in the league and on Friday, he was just too hot to handle as he ended
up registering 62 points including five rebounds and four assists.
However, that performance was still not enough as the Pacers
went on to win with a score of 133-131, largely because of how things went in
the last quarter where the visitors went on to register 28 points, 11 more than
the home team.
After the match, Booker stated that he did what he has been
doing all season but also suggested that there is work to be done on the defensive
side.
“Those are the shots I’ve been taking all season,” he said.
“We’ve got some things to figure out, especially on the defensive end.”
Suns’ star player Obi Toppin was also full of praise for
Booker who according to him is a ‘great player’ and also highlighted how the
team managed to turn things around in the last quarter.
“Great player,” Toppin said about Booker. “But that fourth
quarter, we decided to hit and send another defender to get the ball out of his
hands and just scramble out of that. They didn’t like it at all. I think it was
their worst quarter.”
