The 2-time MVP scored a game-high 41 points while hitting 9 three pointers. Brandin Podziemski had a big night as well, finishing with 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists while hitting 5/5 threes, including a huge one late in the last minute of the game. The Clippers were led by
James Harden, finishing with 26 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. Paul George scored 24 points while Norman Powell had 21 points off the bench.
In his postgame press conference,
Stephen Curry said that they played well for 42 minutes but couldn't get the job done when closing out the game. He mentioned that the Clippers are a good team with a ton of confidence while the Warriors are still trying to prove that they are on that level.
The 10-time All-Star also said that they need to do a better job at home, as they are only .500 at Chase Center. He told reporters that this shows that they have no advantage at home, they are just decent and that needs to improve. He agreed with teammate Brandin Podziemski that it's crucial to pick up a win tomorrow night against the Utah Jazz to head into All-Star weekend on a positive note.
