Golden State Warriors season has been one of the most challenging ones the Dubs experienced. Despite having huge contracts and talented players, the Warriors haven't found consistency. In addition, this year they've had to deal with Draymond Green's temper more than ever. This caused the former Defensive Player Of the Year to miss several games due to a disciplinary suspension. Draymond returned to play last January, and after some time, the head coach Steve Kerr provided his point of view about Green's journey.
Earlier in the season, the player was suspended five games for grabbing Rudy Gobert by the neck after a brawl broke out in a matchup between the Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves.
Not long after returning from that suspension, Green was at it again with an assault on Phoenix Suns' Jusuf Nurkic that earned him an indefinite disciplinary suspension.
Now that the situation seems to have calmed down with Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr talks about how his presence improves the team's play and how sorry he is for what happened: "It makes our defense so much better. With this new lineup, we seem to be quicker, more athletic, more able to stay in front of people. And he's the center back. He calls all the coverages, he sees the floor. He's very focused."
"He's been humbled by what happened, the absence. I think it's given him time to think about how much he loves playing, how much he loves being part of the team, and he didn't want that to fizzle out," he concluded.
