Terence Davis spent four years in the NBA before his options in the league dried up and he was let go by the Sacramento Kings after the 2022-23 season. Since then, basketball fans haven't seen much of Davis. He has spent his time playing for the G League's Rip City Remix but he has apparently been offered options beyond the NBA.
Speaking with HoopsHype, Davis spoke about possibly playing overseas in the Euroleague.
"I think only a few people know this: I turned down a good amount of money to play overseas in Greece, in the Euroleague. I said no, as I want to get back in the NBA and to stay in, you have to play in the G League," Davis said.
Davis said the decision to turn down playing in Greece wasn't hard but admitted it was "tough" because "you never want to leave it out because you never know what happens."
Davis admitted that his past history of injuries has impacted his chances of getting back in the NBA, but he hasn't given up hope.
Davis is using his time in the G League as a chance to enhance his skills, particularly his defensive skillset. He is also focused on "handling the rock and playmaking."
Davis recently tore his Achilles, which means that he may be out of the G League for some time and any return to the NBA could be delayed. He is clearly working hard to earn a spot on another NBA team.
