Trade Deadline: The NBA trade season is just warming up and in a few weeks, several teams across the league could make some very big changes that affect their chances for the rest of the year. Even after the trade of Pascal Siakam to the Indiana Pacers, multiple big names could be on the move.
One of the biggest targets for multiple teams could be Dejounte Murray, currently of the Atlanta Hawks. A former All-Star, Murray could be a huge asset for a number of franchises. The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly interested in Murray although no deal has been formally offered.
Zach Lavine of the Chicago Bulls is one of the largest names on the market right now. He has been with the Bulls for years but that franchise is allegedly on the verge of a rebuild process and is ready to part ways with the two-time All-Star, who is averaging 20 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4 assists per game.
The Lakers are again rumored to be curious about LaVine but his hefty paycheck may prevent them from offering a package to the Bulls. The Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, or even his old team the Orlando Magic could try to acquire him.
Speaking of the Bulls, DeMar DeRozan could be parting ways with that team soon. DeRozan has been a rumored trade assets for the Bulls for months now and if the front office really does commit to rebuilding, he would likely be sent away.
Although some reports have said that DeRozan would like to return to his home town of Los Angeles, he might not get his wish. A number of other teams aside from the Lakers and Clippers might try to sign him and his reasonable $28.6 million contract.
Any deals for these stars and others will have to come together soon, as the NBA trade deadline is set to come at the beginning of next month.
