The
New York Knicks all-star forward,
Julius Randle, suffered a shoulder injury last Saturday night, when the Knicks faced Miami at the Madison Square Garden. Fortunately for everyone in New York, the test results showed that Randle's injury wasn't as severe as expected. However Julius is expected to be out for several weeks.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Randle's injury has been ruled out as long-term, meaning he won't spend several months on the sidelines or miss the all-important playoffs in the 2023/24 season. Apparently, the Knicks star will have to rehab for only a few weeks.
The news is quite positive for a New York Knicks that in recent weeks had grown significantly in their season aspirations. The arrival of OG Anunoby via trade with the Toronto Raptors elevated the play of the Tom Thibodeau-led franchise to the next level, which has caused the Knicks to find themselves in 4th place in the Eastern Conference with a 29-17 record after winning their last six games.
On the downside, Julius Randle is still out for several weeks, and New York will have to face many games in the second half of the regular season without the impact of its player, who averaged 24.0 points, 9.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game on the season.
