With the trade deadline taking place next Thursday, teams are making the necessary adjustments to try to pull off a trade that assures them a deep playoff run this season. That's the case with the New York Knicks, who are having one of their best seasons in recent history, and are looking to make some moves to guarantee playoffs success.
According to HoopsHype's Michael Scotto, the Knicks want to negotiate with the Utah Jazz to trade two of their players: Jordan Clarkson and Kelly Olynyk.
The decision of the Big Apple franchise comes after the news that the Jazz were going to listen to offers for their two players, in addition to Talen Horton-Tucker.
The two additions would be taking another leap in terms of quality for the New York Knicks, who are already the fittest team in the NBA since the arrival of OG Anunoby. The franchise sits in third place in the Eastern Conference with a 32-17 record, having won nine of its last 10 games.
Both Clarkson and Olynyk would come to the Knicks to bolster team's second unit. Clarkson is averaging 17.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game this season, while Olynyk is at 8.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.
