Andrew Wiggins finished with 22 points in the double overtime game that the Golden State Warriors lost againts the Lakers. This was his best scoring night since before Christmas, when he scored 25 points. These ups and downs with Andrew's perfornances are what's making the Warriors consider to partways with the canadian star before the trade deadline.
The Warriors are currently on the 12th position in the Western Conference, with a record of 19-23. The last place for the Play-in belongs to LeBron's team, 2 wins ahead of Golden State.
The Dubs need to change their present and improve their roster, adding extra help to their aging star, Stephen Curry, who's been playing at a great level but needs more from his teammates.
That's why they are exploring the available options to trade Wiggins.
The Warriors could benefit from moving Wiggins to the Jazz, regarding that the former 1st pick of the Draft hasn't been consistent for the last season and a half and therefore, his value has declined.
The Dubs could send "Wiggs" and a 2028-1st round pick to Utah in exchange of Kelly Olynyk and rookie Taylor Hendriks. This trade would be a finantial relief for the Warriors who also need a backup big. Olynyk's been impressive from long range, hitting with 43% of efficiency.
#4 Dallas Mavericks
For a while now, the Mavs have been on the search for a starting wingman. They've tried with different names such as Tim Hardaway Jr, Derrick Jones Jr or even Josh Green. However, Andrew Wiggins could be the solution to their problems. The Warriors could trade Wiggins and that first round pick from 2028 in exchange for Hardaway Jr and Josh Green.
Hardaway and Green could have immediate impact from the bench, providing good shooting and sacrifice on defense. The Warriors payrole problem would be smaller too.
#3 Detroit Pistons
With a young squad, the Pistons need an experienced player like Wiggins. The also have big size players that they could throw in the mix for the Warriors to consider a trade. If Golden State is willing to put their 1st round pick in the talks, they could be landing Bojan Bogdanovic and Isiah Stewart, for example.
Stewart could be the starting center for the Dubs and Bogdanovic would provide some much needed scoring.
Buddy Hield won't be signing a contract extension with the Pacers, so maybe Golden State could pull off a trade that involves "Wiggs" and a 1st round pick, to take advantage of the situation and get a certified scorer like Buddy Hield, plus Jalen Smith as a piece to develop.
Wiggins could provide his championship experience and play as a backup to Siakam. For the Warriors, having to defend Curry, Klay and Hield would be pretty challenging for any defense.
The Bulls are going to be very active until the trade deadline. The experiment in Chicago didn't turn out as expected an therefore they are likely to start a re-build.
There's a potential trade between Alex Caruso and Andrew Wiggins, in which the Warriors could add 2 first round picks and get not only Caruso but also Patrick Williams to improve their frontcourt. Williams will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season so the Bulls might want to get some value in return for their forward.
Another Bull that's appealing for Golden State is DeMar DeRozan. The veteran is most likely to leave Chicago and could be interesting to help Golden State's offense. Still, the two first round picks would be crucial for Chicago to consider making a trade.
