The
Dallas Mavericks are reportedly keen on signing Golden
State Warriors small forward
Andrew Wiggins before the end of the transfer
window.
The mid-season transfer window in the NBA is set to come to
an end on Thursday as teams are now ready for one final push to strengthen
their squad for the remainder of the season.
As per transfer insider Marc Stein, the Mavericks are now
trying to sign Wiggins in the ongoing transfer window.
"The Mavs are very active. They are trying," he
said. "I reported earlier today they've been linked to a lot to Andrew
Wiggins in Golden State.”
It is believed that his presence will enhance the
Mavericks' attacking unit where he will play alongside someone like Luka Doncic.
Wiggins is having a decent season for the franchise where he
is averaging 12.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. In the team’s
previous outing against the Philadelphia 76ers, he ended up registering 21
points to go with 10 rebounds and one assist in just 23 minutes on the court.
His best outing this season came in the match against the Oklahoma
City Thunder back in November where he registered 34 points to go with four
assists for the Warriors.
