Utah Jazz power forward
Kelly Olynyk is reportedly attracting
interest from three different franchises in the ongoing transfer window.
The mid-season transfer window is coming to a close on
Thursday as teams are finalising their strategy to strengthen the contingent
ahead of the remainder of the season.
As per the latest report, Olynyk is drawing interest from
three different franchises — the
Miami Heat, the
Philadelphia 76ers and the Golden
State Warriors.
Earlier, he was also linked with a trade with the Toronto Raptors
but it did not materialise. The 32-year-old’s contract is set to expire in the summer
and he is on a salary of $12.1 million.
Olynyk is having a below-par season with the Jazz where he
is averaging 8.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. In the team’s
recent win against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he registered 10 points to go
with four rebounds and seven assists.
His best performance this season came in the match against
the Detroit Pistons in December at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit where he
registered 27 points with the help of three rebounds and six assists. It was
the only time this season here that Olynyk managed to register 20 or more points for
the Jazz.
