The Boston Celtics had another disappointing outing, this time against the Denver Nuggets as they lost the clash with a score of 115-109 at the Ball Arena in Denver on Thursday.
It was the Celtics’ second consecutive defeat in the competition but despite that, they remain at the top of the Eastern Conference with 48 wins and 14 defeats.
On the other hand, the Nuggets, who have now won seven out of their last eight matches, are placed in the third spot in the Western Conference with 43 wins and 20 defeats.
We are bringing you some special moments from the night when two title contenders went head to head and produced a feisty contest.
Celtics’ lack of discipline
The Celtics ended up on the losing side, largely because of their indiscipline. Their poor passing helped the Nuggets manage to turn over the ball 12 times. The winning side also ended up with 16 turnover points and 19 fastbreak points.
Unstoppable Jaylen Brown
Shooting guard Jaylen Brown was simply outstanding for the losing side. The 27-year-old ended up registering six offensive rebounds in the match and all of them came in the first half alone. Brown ended up registering 41 points to go with 14 rebounds and four assists.
Jrue Holiday’s late push
Jrue Holiday nearly managed to do the impossible as he led the Celtics fightback in the fourth quarter. The 33-year-old registered 10 points in the final quarter as the losing team nearly managed to wipe off a double-dig points gap.
