Fans on social media reacted in an interesting manner
after the
Golden State Warriors suffered a defeat against the
Chicago Bulls
with a score of 125-122 at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
The biggest news of the night was not the result itself but an
injury to star forward
Stephen Curry who had to be taken off.
The development did not go down well with the fans on the
social media platform X — previously known as Twitter. One of them even went on
to claim that the Warriors’ season is as good as over.
It is not confirmed how long Curry will stay away from the
court. Veteran
Klay Thompson, while talking to the media, admitted that the
Warriors will miss their star forward.
"I know we're going to miss him if he does need time
off," said Thompson. "We've been in this position before where he has
had time off, and we just got to do it collectively. I know he'll be ready to
go when he does come back, whenever that is. We just wish him a speedy
recovery."
The result left the Warriors in the ninth position in the Western
Conference with just 33 wins and 29 defeats. On the other hand, the Bulls are
placed in the ninth position in the Eastern Conference with 31 wins and 32
defeats.
